March 20, 2009 | Cowboy Golf
GREENSBORO, Ga. ÂOklahoma State's men's golf team will return to action this weekend at the Linger Longer Invitational being held at Reynolds Landing Golf Course in Greensboro, Ga.
The second-ranked Cowboys will be one of 13 teams in action at the event, which will consist of 54 holes over two days. The field will play 36 holes on Friday before concluding with 18 holes on Saturday morning at the par-72, 7,048-yard layout.
The tournament will be the third of the spring for OSU, which is coming off a second-place showing last weekend in Las Vegas at the Southern Highlands Collegiate.
A pair of Cowboys finished in the top 10 individually in Las Vegas, as freshman Morgan Hoffmann and senior Trent Leon finished second and sixth, respectively.
The duo will be joined in the lineup this week by sophomores Rickie Fowler and Kevin Tway as well as freshman Peter Uihlein, who will be making his first start of the spring.
OSU will be well represented individually with a quartet of players competing unattached. Junior Trent Whitekiller, sophomore Mark Johnson and redshirt freshmen Bernhard Neumann and Michael Miller will all be in action as well.
