David Earns Spot In National All-Star Lineup

LUBBOCK, Texas  Oklahoma State sophomore Kevin David has been named to the College Baseball Foundation/Diamond Sports National All-Star Lineup for his performance last week.
David, who split time between catcher and first base, led OSU to a 4-2 record last week as he hit .542 (13-for-24) with five doubles, a triple, a home run and 12 RBIs. He also scored five runs, walked seven times and turned in a .958 slugging percentage. He has now hit safely in a career-high eight consecutive games.
During the six-game stretch, David collected multiple hits five times. He helped the Cowboys open the week with a win with a 3-for-5 effort at Arizona in which he blasted his first-career home run and drove in a career-high four. David had RBIs in five of OSU's six games last week, including the four-RBI game against Arizona and three-RBI games against Arizona and Rhode Island.
David's hot hitting raised his batting average nearly 100 points. He entered last week's games hitting .313 and now leads the Cowboys with a .411 average. His nine doubles leads the Big 12.
David was also named this week's Big 12 Player of the Week for his performance last week.
