Mike Phinney completed his collegiate playing career at Oklahoma State in 2005 and is in his third season as the Cowboys' director of baseball operations.
A native of Toronto, Canada, Phinney was a Top 25 high school player in Toronto. After one season at Lake City Community College, Phinney transferred to Bacone College in Muskogee Okla., where he played for former OSU assistant coach Robin Harriss.
In 2005, Phinney joined the Oklahoma State program and pitched in four games.
Phinney graduated from OSU in Decebmer of 2006 with a degree in health and physical education.
