The Basics
The Oklahoma State women's track and field team is set to compete at the Big 12 Indoor Track and Field Championships this Friday and Saturday at Gilliam Indoor Track and Field Stadium at Texas A&M University.
Tihana Sarac will start things off for the Cowgirls on Friday morning when she competes in the pentathlon.
Oklahoma State looks to have a strong showing in the 3,000-meter run, as standouts Mihaela Susa, Tone Hjalmarsen and Natalia Kovtun run in the race. Susa has already reached an NCAA provisional qualifying mark in the event, finishing in 9:26.86 at the Iowa State Classic.
Baiba Blumbaha will represent the Cowgirls in both the long and triple jump, already holding the best Cowgirl marks in those events this season.
Friday's action is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m., with the last event set for 9 p.m., while Saturday's competition is scheduled to start at 3 p.m. and conclude at 7:30 p.m. with the awards ceremony.
