Cowgirls Ready for Iowa State Classic

The Basics
The Oklahoma State women's track and field team travels to Ames, Iowa, this weekend to compete in the Iowa State Classic at the Lied Recreation Athletic Facility. Victoria Fratczak will compete in the 3,000-meter run for the first time in her collegiate career, as well as the one-mile run for the second time. Standouts Tone Hjalmarsen, Natalia Kovtun and Mihaela Susa will join Fratczak in the 3,000-meter run, as the trio tries for NCAA qualifying marks. Other events for the Cowgirls include the 600-yard run, 800-meter run and distance medley relay. The Cowgirls' events are scheduled for Friday and Saturday. OSU Lineups The following Cowgirls will compete in their respective events: 600-Yard Run Brandi Andrews Heather Estetter Kendra Woodson 800-Meter Run Brandi Andrews Heather Estetter Kristen Gillespie One-Mile Run Victoria Fratczak 3,000-Meter Run Victoria Fratczak Tone Hjalmarsen Natalia Kovtun Mihaela Susa Distance Medley Relay Team A: Gillespie, Woodson, Mixon, Kovtun Last Time Out Oklahoma State competed at both the Meyo Invitational and the Sooner Open I on Feb. 7. Kristen Gillespie had a successful outing at the Meyo Invitational, posting a top five school mark of 2:09.82 in the 800-meter run. Teran Mixon, Brandi Andrews and Heather Estetter ran well for the Cowgirls at the Sooner Open I, taking the top three spots in the 1,000-meter run, respectively.
