Cowgirls Compete at J.D. Martin Invitational

NORMAN, Okla. – The Oklahoma State women's track and field team competed Saturday at the J.D. Martin Invitational at the University of Oklahoma, highlighted by Teran Mixon's third-place finish in the 1,000-meters run.
Mixon's time of 3:01.42 was just five seconds behind the winner. Heather Estetter joined Mixon in the event, finishing fifth with a time of 3:02.89.
A pair of fifth-place finishers was among other highlights for Oklahoma State, including Baiba Blumbaha in the triple jump with mark of 11.50 meters and Merritt Dietz in the shot put with a mark of 14.02 meters.
The Cowgirls return to action next weekend, when they return to the Mosier Indoor Center at University of Oklahoma for the Sooner Open, and travel to South Bend, Ind., for the Meyo Invitational.
