ARLINGTON, Texas -
It was a busy New Year's Eve day for the Oklahoma State Cowboys, who followed morning meetings by attending the Cotton Bowl Classic AT&T Luncheon at the team hotel.
Both teams and coaching staffs from Oklahoma State and Ole Miss, along with hundreds of their supporters and Cotton Bowl personnel, attended the luncheon. Among the highlights was a short speech by former Dallas Cowboys' fullback Daryl Johnston, who is providing color commentary during the Fox broadcast of the game, and the presentation of a Waterford Crystal football to OSU center Andrew Lewis, who was recognized as the Cowboys' top scholar-athlete.
OSU quarterback Zac Robinson tossed an autographed, commemorative Cotton Bowl football to a lucky fan in the crowd, and both Cowboy coach Mike Gundy and Ole Miss coach Houston Nutt were presented works of art from the winners of the 12th Annual AT&T Cotton Bowl Art Contest.
Everyone in attendance was also treated to video highlights from each team's 2009 season, and a video documenting the history of the Cotton Bowl. The Cotton Bowl Hall of Fame Class of 2010, which includes Joe Montana, was also revealed.
Following the luncheon, OSU headed to Cowboys Stadium for their final practice of the week prior to Friday's pre-game walk through.
