Cowboys Arrive In Dallas

DALLAS -- The No. 19 Oklahoma State football team (9-3, 6-2 Big 12) fought through the aftermath of a record snowfall in Oklahoma to arrive in Dallas today for the 74th AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic. OSU takes on Ole Miss on Saturday, Jan. 2 at the new Cowboys Stadium in a rematch of the 2004 AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic.
Central Oklahoma received a record 14.1 inches of snow on Thursday, December 24 (Christmas Eve). The blizzard led to challenging road conditions throughout Oklahoma and slightly delayed the Cowboys' arrival into Dallas today.
Head Coach Mike Gundy, 2-1 in bowl games with OSU, said the players are in Dallas and accounted for.
"We are excited to be here in Dallas," Gundy said. "We'll get the guys in here today and we'll begin our week of preparations tomorrow."
"The Cotton Bowl is a first rate organization and we're very excited to be part of it," Gundy continued. "We are looking forward to a great week ahead."
Upon arrival, several members of the team participated in the activities offered in the players' hospitality room at team headquarters.
Later in the evening, the Pokes attended the Cowboys Stadium welcome, where they and the Ole Miss contingent were treated to a buffet of Mexican food and custom-made season highlight videos put together by the people at FOX Sports and shown on the goliath Cowboys Stadium high-definition video board.
Tomorrow will be Oklahoma State's first practice since December 22. The Cowboys will work from 1:15 p.m.-3:40 p.m. at Cowboys Stadium.
