Franch Earns Another Honor

OAKLAND, Calif. – Oklahoma State soccer star AD Franch added another accolade to her long list of achievements today when she was named to the Soccer America All-Freshman First Team.
A freshman goalkeeper from Salina, Kan., Franch had a record-setting season for the Cowgirls in 2009. She set school records with 11 shutouts and a 0.61 goals against average, totals which also led the Big 12 Conference, and she also led the league in save percentage at .843.
In nearly 2,100 minutes in goal in 23 games, Franch allowed only 14 goals and racked up 75 saves. Four of her shutouts came during Big 12 regular-season play, while she added a pair of shutouts at the Big 12 Soccer Championship and one in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.
Along with her latest honor, Franch earned All-Big 12 First Team and Big 12 All-Newcomer Team honors, was named to the Big 12 Soccer Championship All-Tournament Team, was a first-team All-Central Region selection by the NSCAA and earned a spot on the TopDrawerSoccer.com All-Rookie First Team.
