Pair Of Cowgirls Earn Academic Honor

STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State's Bridget Miller and Annika Niemeier have been named to ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 6 women's soccer teams. Miller earned second-team honors, while Niemeier was named to the third team.
Miller, a senior midfielder, has started all 19 games for the Cowgirls this season and has recorded two goals and two assists. She carries a 3.7 grade point average in health and human promotions/exercise and health.
A native of Wylie, Texas, Miller is a three-time Academic All-Big 12 Conference First Team honoree and has made the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll six times. She has made the OSU President's Honor Roll (4.0 GPA) twice and is a three-time OSU Dean's Honor Roll (3.59-3.99 GPA) honoree.
A junior midfielder from Willingen-Usseln, Germany, Niemeier leads the Cowgirls with nine goals and four assists this season. A mechanical engineering major with a 3.5 GPA, Niemeier is also a three-time Academic All-Big 12 Conference First Team honoree and has made the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll six times. She has been named to the OSU Dean's Honor Roll three times and the President's Honor Roll once.
To be eligible for Academic All-District honors, a student athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.30 (on a 4.00 scale), have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing and be nominated by her sports information director.
