Oklahoma State Ready for KSU Invitational

The Basics The Oklahoma State women's track and field team is set to compete at the Kansas State University Invitational Saturday at the Ahearn Field House in Manhattan, Kan. This event marks the Cowgirls' second competition of the indoor season and their first of 2009.
The event is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. with the field events, followed by the track events at 3:30 p.m.

The following Cowgirls will compete in their respective events:
Brandi Andrews: 600 yards
Clarissa Andrews: Long Jump, Triple Jump
Baiba Blumbaha: Long Jump, Triple Jump
Merritt Dietz: Shot Put, Weight Throw
Heather Estetter: 800 meters
Victoria Fratczak: 1-mile run
Kristen Gillespie: 600 yards
Courtney Gougler: Shot Put, Weight Throw
Katie Hamilton: Shot Put, Weight Throw
Jill Hibbets: 300 meters, 60 meters
Kim Johnson: 300 meters
Amandine Kandi-Masakidi: 60m, Shot Put
Lorna Lawrence: 60 meters
Tekeisha Lewis: 300 meters, 60 meters

Oklahoma State' last indoor meet was also in Manhattan, Kan., where the Cowgirls competed at the KSU All-Comers meet in December.
Oklahoma State's performance was highlighted by Kristen Gillespie and Baiba Blumbaha, as Gillespie won the 1,000 meter run in 2:55.78 and Blumbaha won both the long jump and the triple jump with leaps of 5.65 meters and 11.84 meters, respectively.
