2005-07: Played at Cowley County Community College ... as a sophomore, was 7-1 with a 4.40 ERA in 12 appearances ... was 1-2 with a 4.38 ERA as a freshman ... redshirted in 2005 with an injury but was still drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 50th round of that year's MLB Draft.

HIGH SCHOOL: Competed in baseball, wrestling and cross country ... named first-team all-state as senior in 2005 after hitting .380 with 10 home runs ... also first-team All-State Dream Team and all-region ... drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 40th round of the MLB Draft in 2004.
