2008: Was the Cowboys' starting DH for much of the season ... played in 52 games with 42 starts ... recorded 16 multi-hit games ... went 2-for-3 and slugged his first-career home run against Baylor (3/14) ... had a career-high three hits against Utah Valley (5/3) with a 3-for-4 effort ... hit .313 in Big 12 play, which tied for the fourth-highest mark on the team.
HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered four years in baseball, basketball and football at Berryhill High School ... hit .513 with 32 home runs, 225 RBIs and 19 doubles during his prep career ... as a senior, hit .505 with seven homers and 61 RBIs and led team to Class 4A state championship ... named All-State as a senior ... was conference MVP in 2006 and '07 ... named Tulsa World Pitcher of the Year in '07 ... earned Oklahoma Travelers team MVP honors in 2007 and set the team record with a .520 batting average ... also recruited by Wichita State, Oklahoma and Washington State.
