Cowboys Hit Field In Full Pads

The Cowboys will hold their first day with two practices on Tuesday.
“We had a good first day in pads,” said head coach Mike Gundy. “It was nice and warm out there in a 2-hour, 15-minute practice. There was a lot of enthusiasm and a lot of collisions. We finished the day with a toughness drill and let some of the younger players go against each other and line up and hit some.”
“There were some big plays today in the running game,” Gundy added. “Kendall Hunter made some nice runs and Beau Johnson made some nice runs. Brandon Weeden played well. Defensively, Swanson Miller, Orie Lemon Johnny Thomas, the freshman from
The Cowboy offense, which had been pushed around in the early going of camp, hit the OSU defense with some cross country scores on Monday with Kendall Hunter and receivers Damian Davis and DeMarcus Conner doing the honors.
OSU will practice at 8 a.m. on Tuesday morning and again at 5 p.m.
