High School: Started his senior season as a sleeper but before the year ended, he was named Class 4A all-state by the Associated Press and was also all-South Texas and a member of the Super 11 Team ... Other postseason honors included bay area offensive lineman of the year, district offensive lineman of the year and listed among the Dallas Morning News Texas top 100 ... Was also recruited by Houston, Rice and Texas Tech.
Personal: Born June 7, 1988 ... Son of Kevin and Sarah Perkins ... Has two older sisters, Jacquelyn and Bethany ... Hopes to become an NFL coach ... Business major.
