DURHAM, N.C. Â Oklahoma State pitcher Tyler Lyons has accepted an invitation to the 2008 USA Baseball National Team Trials, it was announced today by USA Baseball.
Lyons is one of 34 collegiate players who have accepted invitations to the trials, which will be held June 11-23 throughout the northeast and southeast United States. At the conclusion of the trials, on June 24, 22 players will be selected for the National Team roster.
A 6-foot-2, 195 pounder, Lyons is coming off a sophomore season in which he earned second-team All-Big 12 Conference honors for the Cowboys.
