Vail Finishes Sixth at NCAA Regional

LINCOLN, Neb. Â The Oklahoma State men's track and field team finished its competition at the NCAA Midwest Regional Friday, highlighted by senior Ryan Vail's performance in the 5,000-meter run.
Vail ran to a sixth place finish in the event with a time of 14:05.18, which gave Oklahoma State three team points and put the Cowboys in 15th place in the team standings at the end of the first day.
Junior Matt Barnes-Smith joined Vail in the event, finishing 22nd with a time of 14:47.56.
Senior Terry Josserand represented the Cowboys in the 400-meter hurdles, running the event in 52.44 seconds for a 14th place finish.
The Cowboys' season will continue at the NCAA Outdoor Championships due to senior David Jankowski's provisional qualifying time for the event in the 10,000-meter run earlier this season.
