Cowboys Ready for Big 12 Championships

STILLWATER, Okla. Â The Oklahoma State men's track and field team begins postseason competition this weekend as it travels to Boulder, Colo., to compete in the 2008 Big 12 Outdoor Championships.
Leading the way for the Cowboys is senior Ryan Vail, who has qualified for the U.S Olympic Trials in the 5,000-meter run and the NCAA regional in the1,500-meter run.
Several other Cowboys have had success throughout the season, and look to help Oklahoma State at the Big 12 Championships.
Junior Matt Barnes-Smith and seniors David Jankowski and Terry Josserand have qualified for the NCAA regional and could have a big impact for the team.
Another Cowboy that has had success this season is sophomore David Chirchir, who missed a regional 3,000-meter steeplechase qualifying mark by only 0.20 seconds earlier this season.
The 2008 Big 12 Outdoor Championships are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. Friday with the women's heptathlon 100-meter hurdles.
