Cowgirls Ready for John Jacobs Invitational

STILLWATER, Okla. - The Oklahoma State women's track and field team is set to compete at the John Jacobs Invitational in Norman, Okla., Saturday.
The Cowgirls will try to add to their number of NCAA Regional qualifiers, already at seven.
Senior Deleanor Kirkpatrick is coming off her season-best, hammer throw of 55.99 meters at the Texas Relays. The hammer throw is the only collegiate event scheduled Friday. It will take place at 4:00 p.m.
Sophomore Baiba Blumbaha, who is already qualified in the triple jump, will try to reach the regional qualifying mark in the long jump. Her best jump this season was 5.94 meters, only 0.06 meters from qualifying.
The John Jacobs Invitational is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. with the women's javelin throw.
