Cowgirls Ready for Sooner Open

STILLWATER, Okla. Â The Oklahoma State women's track and field team will have a chance to prepare for the Big 12 Championships and add to it's list of NCAA regional qualifiers when it competes at the Sooner Open in Norman, Okla., Saturday.
More than 20 Cowgirls are scheduled to compete in the event, including junior Merritt Dietz, who qualified for the U.S. Olympic Trials in the discus throw her last time out.
Sophomore Baiba Blumbaha, who has already qualified for the regional in the triple jump, will try to add 0.06 meters to her season-best long jump to hit the regional qualifying mark.
Senior Tihana Sarac, who set the school heptathlon record last week, is scheduled to compete in the 200-meter dash, 4 x 400-meter relay and the long jump.
The event is scheduled to begin with the women's javelin at 10 a.m.
