Cowboys Drop Series Finale At Kansas State

MANHATTAN, Kan. Â Oklahoma State lost its second conference road series of the season as Kansas State defeated the Cowboys, 4-0, in Sunday's decisive game at Tointon Stadium.
The 22nd-ranked Cowboys managed just three hits and were shut out for the second time this season as they fell to 18-8 overall and 4-5 in Big 12 Conference play.
Lance Hoge tossed a complete game and struck out five, and Nate Tenbrink hit a pair of solo home runs for K-State as the Wildcats improved to 13-12 overall and 2-4 in Big 12 play.
Tyler Blandford suffered the loss for the Cowboys, falling to 3-2 on the season. The sophomore right hander lasted 6.1 innings and allowed three runs on six hits. He struck out five and walked two.
KSU took the lead in the second inning on Tenbrink's first home run of the game.
The Wildcats added to their lead in the fifth. Jason King led off the inning with a double, and a two-out walk to Dane Yelovich set the stage for a two-RBI double by Jordan Cruz that made the score 3-0.
Tenbrink's second homer came in the eighth off OSU reliever Robbie Weinhardt.
Luis Flores had two of OSU's three hits on the day, while Jordy Mercer collected the Cowboys' only other hit.
OSU returns to action with another conference road trip this weekend when they travel to
