Cowboys Defeat No. 6 Arizona, 10-2

STILLWATER, Okla. Â Oklahoma State won its third-straight game Tuesday with a 10-2 triumph over sixth-ranked Arizona in front of a season-high crowd of 1,856 fans at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium.
The win marked the 22nd-ranked Cowboys' second victory over a Top 10 opponent this season as they improved to 16-6. The loss was the third in a row for Arizona, which fell to 13-6.
Matt Gardner earned the win on the mound to improve to 3-1, with the three wins tying him for tops on the Cowboys. The senior right hander worked 6.1 innings and allowed just two runs on seven hits while striking out six.
Rebel Ridling and Donnie Webb led OSU's offensive attack, combining to go 5-for-9 at the plate and score five runs.
UA took the game's first lead in the top of the second inning on a sacrifice fly by Bryce Ortega. But the Cowboys quickly tied the score in the bottom of the frame as Webb led off with a double, took second on a groundout and then scored on an RBI groundout by Neil Medchill to make the score 1-1.
The Cowboys took control of the game with a five-run rally in the fourth, which was aided by three UA errors.
Matt Hague walked to lead off the inning and scored the go-ahead run on a throwing error by Wildcat pitcher Mike Colla. Later in the inning, a two-RBI single by Luis Flores made the score 4-1. The final two runs of the frame came on RBIs by Thomas Belza and Michael Dabbs.
Ridling finished 3-for-5 and extended his hitting streak to six games, while Webb was 2-for-4 with a double and triple and scored three runs.
Hague also extended his hitting streak to seven games with a single in the eighth inning.
The two teams close out their midweek series Wednesday with a 6:30 p.m. contest.
