Cowboy Golfers Slip Into Second Place At Puerto Rico Classic

The Cowboys will take an even-par 576 total into tomorrow's final round and will be two strokes behind Alabama. The Crimson Tide moved to the top of the leaderboard with a 3-under 285 at Rio Mar Country Club.
Alabama's Matthew Swan holds the individual lead after carding a 71 and stands at 7-under 137. Swan will begin the final round one shot clear of the field.
A trio of Cowboys are among the group tied for 13th place at 144 as freshman Rickie Fowler and juniors Trent Leon and Jon McLean all stand at even par.
Fowler and Leon both posted 75s, while McLean turned in the team's best round of the day with a 2-under 70.
Freshmen Kevin Tway and Mark Johnson finished the day tied for 46th place at 150 after rounds of 78 and 72, respectively.
The Cowboys will close out play at the par-72, 6,902-yard layout tomorrow morning at 7:30 a.m. (EST) and will be paired with Alabama and Duke.
