Cowgirls Add Hardin To 2008 Recruiting Class

STILLWATER, Okla. — Oklahoma State added to its impressive 2008 recruiting class Friday as Mary Pat Hardin signed a letter of intent to play with the Cowgirls.
Hardin, a forward from Mount St. Mary Academy in Little Rock, Ark., is the eighth member of OSU coach Colin Carmichael's '08 signing class.
“Mary Pat is a very fast player, a very explosive player,” Carmichael said. “She will be a threat immediately in the Big 12 because of her pace, and she should be able to create a lot of offensive opportunities for us.”
Hardin was a member of the U.S.Y.S.A. Olympic Development National Pool from 2002-06 and has played for the Region 3 ODP team since 2002. She is also a five-year member of Hurricane Futbol Club '89.
A four-year starter at St. Mary's Academy, Hardin was a 2007 NSCAA/adidas High School All-American and was named All-State four times during her career.
Hardin's uncle, John Smith, is the head wrestling coach at Oklahoma State. She also considered Florida State, Vanderbilt and TCU.
