Sophomore Natalia Kovtun placed first in the 1,000 meters with a time of 2:59.03 and senior Deleanor Kirkpatrick won the weight throw with a launch of 18.51 meters. Freshman Teran Mixon's 5:12.59 in the mile was good enough to take first place in the event.
Other Cowgirls with top performances came from senior LaKendra Greathouse in the shot put (second place, 14.67 meters), junior Merritt Dietz in the shot put (14.33 meters), senior Lauren McKee in the 200 meters (third place, 26.45) and Alina Istrate in the 1,000 meters (third place, 3:08.88). The Cowgirls also tacked on eight personal best from this weekend's event.
