February 18, 2008 | Cowgirl Soccer
STILLWATER, Okla. Â Oklahoma State will play eight matches during the spring of 2008, it was announced today by Cowgirl head coach Colin Carmichael.
Among the teams OSU will face are NCAA tourney qualifiers Memphis and Texas A&M, as well as SEC foes Arkansas and Ole Miss.
“We are looking forward to our 2008 spring season,” Carmichael said. “We have put together some games which will challenge our team. Coming off another NCAA tournament appearance, it is important that our players face stiff competition to prepare ourselves for next fall.”
The Cowgirls finished the 2007 season with a 14-6-3 record, defeating four teams ranked in the Top 10 along the way and advancing to the second round of the NCAA Women's Soccer Championship for the second-straight year. OSU finished the season ranked as high as 17th in the national polls.
OSU returns nine starters from its 2007 squad, including All-American midfielder Yolanda Odenyo and leading scorer Kasey Langdon.
