Vail Runs NCAA Provisional Mark At Tyson Invitational

Fayetteville, Ark. Â Oklahoma State's Ryan Vail ran an NCAA provisional mark of 8:01.32 to finish first among collegiate athletes competing in the invitational 3000 meter run Saturday at the Tyson Invitational at the Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville. Teammate David Chirchir wasn't far behind Vail, clocking an 8:06.95 to miss a provisional mark by less than two seconds. He finished sixth in the race and fourth among collegians.
In the championship race of the 3000 meters, Matt Barnes-Smith and Daniel Watts both turned in top-10 finishes with Barnes-Smith running an 8:18.45 and
