In Their Own Words: OSU Wrestlers Describe John Smith

Members of the 2007-08 Oklahoma State wrestling team were recently asked how they would describe coach John Smith. Here are their answers:
Ace Adamson: As being a wise coach and person.
Luke Ashmore: As being the best coach in the country hands down. He is a great guy,
he's outgoing and always helps his wrestlers get to the next level.
Mike Bizzle: As being a dedicated individual who not only cares about the good of the team but the people on the team.
Walker Clarke: As being upstanding. There is not a better teacher of the sport. He can be intimidating.
Chaz Cointment: As being all business and as being someone who accepts nothing but your best. He's goal-oriented and inspiring.
Jake Dieffenbach: As being intense on the mat and having a good sense of humor off of it.
Jake Duke: As honest and hard-working.
Neil Erisman: As being an amazing coach and athlete. There is no other wrestler like him.
Clayton Foster: As being a good coach.
Ryan Freeman: As being someone who finds a way to win and is successful at whatever he wants. I enjoy talking to Coach about life and learning new insight from him.
Quinten Fuentes: As being the best.
Trent Heath: As being one of the greatest wrestlers ever and now I am lucky enough to have him as my coach. I am very thankful for the opportunity he has given me.
Cody Hill: As being a great person that cares about his wrestlers on and off the mat.
Jack Jensen: As being a great motivator, a hero and a great coach.
Sam Lewnes: As a true competitor and a master of the sport.
Brandon Mason: As a man who cares about each of us as if we were all his sons.
Chris McNeil: As the man preaching the gospel on wrestling with everything I need to know.
Newly McSpadden: As being intense.
Nathan Morgan: As being a unique and special man.
Brad Neitenbach: As being intense.
Brent Parkey: As being dedicated.
Jamal Parks: As being intense, but easy-going.
Chad Ravannack: As being remarkable and a legend.
Adam Rosholt: As being an incredible wrestler and coach and he's a great guy.
Jared Rosholt: As being a good guy.
Coleman Scott: As being unbelievable.
Jared Shelton: By saying he's the man!
Tyler Shinn: As the magic man! He can show you the path arguably as good as any coach ever. Of course it's always up to us to walk the path.
Luke Silver: As a hero, a great coach, a great person and he's great at motivating.
Kevin Wainscott: As being a great guy, a great coach and a father-like figure.
