Dez Bryant Named To AFCA All-America Squad

STILLWATER, Okla.—Oklahoma State wide receiver Dez Bryant has been named to the 2008 AFCA Coaches' All-America Team it was announced today by the American Football Coaches Association.
The honor adds to a rapidly growing list of credentials for the Lufkin, Texas native, who was recently named a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award and a first-team All-Big 12 selection.
Bryant has caught 74 passes for 1,313 yards and 18 touchdowns while helping the Cowboys to a 9-3 record. The sophomore's 109.4 yards per game ranks third nationally and his touchdown total ranks second in the country.
Bryant has found his way onto several of the school's single-season charts as well. His 74 catches represent the fourth best single-season total in OSU history while his 1,313 yards are the third-best total ever and his 18 touchdowns are a new single-season record for OSU.
Bryant turned in two of the top 10 receiving games in the country with 200-yard outings against Houston and Baylor. Against the Cougars, he tallied 236 receiving yards, signifying the second-best total in school history and the second-best receiving game in the country this season. Bryant also caught 11 passes for 212 yards and a pair of touchdowns against the Bears for the 10th-best total of the season.
On special teams, Bryant averaged 17.9 yards per punt return with a pair of touchdowns on his way to being tabbed as the Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Year.
