Thomas And Pickens Honored At 2008 NFF Awards Dinner

NEW YORK Â Thurman Thomas and T. Boone Pickens were honored at the 51st National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame Annual Awards Dinner celebration Tuesday night at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City.
Thomas, one of the top running backs in Oklahoma State history, was among the inductees into the College Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2008. Thomas is OSU's all-time leading rusher with 4,595 yards, and he racked up 44 touchdowns during a career that spanned from 1984-87. He led the Cowboys in rushing each of his four seasons and propelled OSU to three bowl appearances.
Pickens, an OSU alumnus and well-known philanthropist, accepted the NFF Distinguished American Award, which is presented on special occasions when a truly deserving individual emerges.
