November 30, 2008 | Cowboy Basketball
It was a see-saw battle throughout the first 33 minutes as there were seven ties and 14 lead changes. OSU led by as many as nine midway through the first half before Gonzaga cut the lead down to one at 37-36 at intermission.
Terrel Harris led all Cowboy scorers with 17 points while James Anderson added 14. Senior guard Byron Eaton had 10 assists, but also had six turnovers and was just 2-of-15 from the field and 1-of-7 from the charity stripe. He finished with five points.
The much taller Bulldogs only outrebounded the Pokes 47-45, but OSU committed 19 turnovers which turned into 23 Gonzaga points. The Zags also outscored OSU 44-14 in the paint.
Oklahoma State will play the fifth-ranked Michigan State Spartans on Friday evening at 7 p.m. CT inside the Milk House. The game will be televised on ESPNU.
