Dez Bryant One Of 10 Biletnikoff Award Finalists

STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State sophomore wide receiver Dez Bryant is one of 10 finalists for the Biletnikoff Award presented to the nation's top receiver, it was announced.
Through 11 games this year, Bryant leads the Big 12 and ranks second nationally in receiving yards per game with 111.1 per contest. His 9.8 points scored per game rank him eighth nationally.
Bryant is turning in one of the finest seasons ever for a wide receiver at Oklahoma State, as he ranks in the top five on the Cowboy single-season lists for receptions (fifth; 68), receiving yards (fourth; 1,222), touchdown receptions (second; 16) and scoring (third; 108 points).
The Lufkin, Texas native has five 100-yard receiving games this year, including a nine-catch, 236-yard, three-touchdown game against Houston and an 11-catch, 212-yard, two touchdown game against Baylor. Bryant added a nine-catch, 171-yard, four-touchdown game against Iowa State.
Bryant and the Cowboys still have two games remaining this year, so those totals will only increase.
In addition to his exploits as a receiver, Bryant leads the conference and ranks fourth nationally with 17.9 yards per punt return and is in the top five in the explosive Big 12 with 146.4 all-purpose yards per game.
He is one of six players from the Big 12 included in the final group of 10 for the Biletnikoff Award.
The award will be presented Dec. 11 as part of the Home Depot College Football Awards Show in Orlando.
The Biletnikoff Award is presented by the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation and is named for Fred Biletnikoff, a former All-American at Florida State and member of the College and Pro Football Halls of Fame.
