:: Game captains for the Cowboys were punter Matt Fodge, running back Kendall Hunter, cornerback Perrish Cox and safety Quinton Moore.
:: Tight end Brandon Pettigrew returned to the lineup for the Cowboys after missing the last three games with a foot injury.
:: The Oklahoma State defense held Baylor to a three-and-out on its first possession, meaning that the Cowboy defense has held the opposition scoreless on its first possession of the game in six of seven games this year.
:: The Cowboy offense was forced to punt on its opening drive, snapping a streak of five consecutive games in which the OSU offense has scored a touchdown on its opening possession.
:: Though it will not count on his season stat sheet, Derek Burton blocked a PAT attempt in the first quarter. Prior to that play, the Cowboys have also had blocked kicks against Washington State (Markelle Martin blocked a punt) and against Missouri (Orie Lemon blocked a field goal). The NCAA does not recognize blocked PATs as a statistics.
