Cowboy Football Moves Into Top 10

STILLWATER, Okla.—Fresh off its 28-23 victory on Saturday night at Missouri, Oklahoma State's football team moved into the top 10 in this week's Associated Press poll, checking in at No. 8.
The Cowboys (6-0) entered the weekend ranked 17th before posting their win over the third-ranked Tigers. The victory moved them into the AP top 10 for the first time since 1988, when the Cowboys were ranked No. 10 following a 4-0 start.
This week's ranking also marks the squad's highest since Nov. 23, 1985 when the Cowboys were No. 7 heading into a road game at Iowa State. Their highest-ever ranking came in 1984 when they held the No. 3 spot.
OSU entered the polls for the first time under fourth-year head coach Mike Gundy two weeks ago following its 55-24 victory over Troy.
The Cowboys will be back in action this Saturday when they host Baylor at 2 p.m. in Stillwater.
