OSU Season Tickets Continue to Sell
October 17, 2008 | Cowboy Football
Since defeating third-ranked Missouri this past weekend, OSU has sold more than 120 season football tickets for the remainder of the season. With every purchase, OSU adds to its all-time sales mark, which has exceeded 39,000 season tickets.
Ranked eighth in the latest Associated Press poll, the Cowboys have cracked the Top 10 for the first time since 1988. OSU boasts a perfect 6-0 record, including a 2-0 mark in Big 12 play, after a landmark 28-23 win over the Tigers. A win this Saturday would move the Pokes to a perfect 7-0 record for the first time since 1945.
Remaining home games at Boone Pickens Stadium include this weekend's Homecoming matchup with Baylor, Iowa State on November 1, and the Bedlam matchup on November 29. Single-game tickets for Baylor and Iowa State are $85 each. No single game tickets are available for Bedlam. The only way to secure those tickets is through purchasing a season ticket package, which start at $294 for west endzone seating ($980 for a 4-pack).
“We adapted a strategy from Iowa State University which used the Â07 Iowa game in Ames to boost season ticket sales by 8,000,” said Craig Clemons, Associate AD for External Affairs and Development. “To date, the department has achieved new records in season ticket sales and attendance. We believe the decision to associate the Bedlam contest with season tickets has contributed to strengthening our overall financial position relative to the other members of the Big 12 Conference.”
"It's not too late to join. And 2008 season ticket holders will be given the first right of refusal on 2009 season tickets, which will include marquee dates with SEC power Georgia and Big 12 rival Texas," he added.
