DURHAM, N.C. Â Oklahoma State's 2008 baseball recruiting class has been ranked the 19th-best class in the nation by Baseball America.
The Cowboys' class includes 11 newcomers, which includes seven players from the high school ranks and four junior college transfers.
Of the Cowboy newcomers, three have been drafted by Major League Baseball, including freshmen Mark Ginther and Marcus Knecht, who were each selected in the June 2008 draft.
“We're excited about this group and really feel like they'll be able to fill some immediate needs for us,” said OSU head coach Frank Anderson. “It's a very talented mix of players that we expect to contribute to the success we're having here.”
OSU's class ranked as the third best in the Big 12 Conference, according to Baseball America. Texas A&M earned the magazine's No. 6 ranking, while Texas earned the 12th spot. Arizona State's class was ranked No. 1.
