October 13, 2008 | Cowboy Football
The Big 12 Conference has announced that the Oklahoma State-Texas football game, scheduled for Oct. 25, in Austin, will be televised by ABC with a 2:30 p.m. kickoff.
It will be the second straight season that Oklahoma State and Texas will play before the ABC cameras in an afternoon time slot. The game will also be the sixth straight between the two schools selected for national cable or network television.
The eighth-ranked Cowboys will host Baylor Saturday afternoon in a Homecoming contest with a 2 p.m. kickoff. OSU enters the Baylor game 6-0 for the first time since 1997 and for just the third time since World War II. The Cowboys are coming off a 28-23 win over No. 3 Missouri.
Oklahoma State is a member of the AP top 10 for the first time since 1988 and has reached its highest ranking since climbing to No. 7 in 1985.
The improving Bears are 3-3 overall and 1-1 in conference play after Saturday's win over Iowa State.
