Cowboys Improve To No. 2 In Coaches Poll

STILLWATER, Okla. Â Following its four wins at the Virginia Duals last weekend, the Oklahoma State wrestling team (10-1 overall) moved up to No. 2 in the USA Today/InterMat/NWCA Division I Wrestling Coaches Poll. Minnesota holds the top spot. Senior 133-pounder Coleman Scott remains the nation's top-ranked wrestler by each of the major ranking services, with senior 141-pounder Nathan Morgan moving into the No. 1 spot in the Amateur Wrestling News rankings. Morgan is also No. 1 by W.I.N. Magazine.
The Cowboys travel to Columbia, Mo., for a Saturday dual at No. 11 Missouri that serves as the Big 12 opener for OSU. Following Saturday's dual, the Cowboys bus directly to Oklahoma City, where they will face third-ranked Nebraska at 6 p.m. Sunday in the Ford Center. The OSU-Nebraska showdown will be televised nationally by ESPNU.
Also included in this week's individual rankings for OSU are 165-pounder Jake Dieffenbach (Fourth by Amateur Wrestling News and third by W.I.N. Magazine), 174-pounder Brandon Mason (fourth by the Amateur Wrestling News and second by W.I.N. Magazine), heavyweight Jared Rosholt (sixth by Amateur Wrestling News and 10th by W.I.N. Magazine) and 157-pounder Newly McSpadden (12th by Amateur Wrestling News and 17th by W.I.N. Magazine).
