Greathouse hits provisional mark

The Oklahoma State Cowgirl track and field team was taken to new heights during the Kansas State Invitational Jan. 4, 2008 on the arm of Junior LaKendra Greathouse. Competing in the shot put, Greathouse recorded a toss of 15.26 meters to win the event and record an NCAA provisional mark. “It's going to be crazy, but I think I have a lot more to go.” Greathouse said. Greathouse has her next shot at nationals when the Cowgirls compete at the Nebraska Open on Friday, Jan.18 in Lincoln, Neb. “She is going to have to throw over 16.00 meters which she is capable of doing so, in the next five or six weeks she's got to keep progressing and hopefully by the Big 12 be able to hit somewhere around 16.00 meters.” OSU throwing coach John Baumann said.
