Cowboy Golfers Prepared For Ping/Golfweek Preview

Oklahoma State's men's golf team will continue its fall slate this weekend when it takes part in the Ping/Golfweek Preview at Purdue's Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex.
For the Cowboys, the event marks their second of the season after their seventh-place showing earlier this month at the Inverness Intercollegiate.
OSU will once again feature a lineup with three newcomers as freshmen Rickie Fowler, Mark Johnson and Kevin Tway will be joined by junior Trent Leon and sophomore Trent Whitekiller.
Leon, Johnson and Tway all competed at the Inverness Intercollegiate with Leon coming in as the squad's top finisher, tying for 18th place.
For Fowler, the Preview will be his first collegiate event. The Murrieta, Calif. native is coming off an impressive performance for the United States at the Walker Cup, finishing with a 3-1 record to help the Americans defeat Great Britain and Ireland.
Whitekiller will also be making his first start of the season and the fifth of his career.
The Preview will consist of 54 holes with two rounds being played on Saturday and the final round set for Sunday. The first round will get underway at the par-72, 7,467-yard Kampen Course with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
