* Captains for Oklahoma State were junior quarterback Bobby Reid, senior linebacker Donovan Woods and junior kicker Jason Ricks.
* True freshman Dez Bryant made his first appearance in a Cowboy uniform on the second offensive play of the game. Stillwater native Bryant Ward was the only other true freshman to see any game action, appearing on special teams.
* Three Cowboys made their first career start for OSU vs. Georgia: left guard Andrew Lewis, wide receiver Jeremy Broadway and nose tackle Tonga Tea, Jr.
* Senior David Koenig and junior David Washington each extended their consecutive starts streaks to 25. Senior linebacker Donovan Woods made his team-leading 32nd career start.
* Bowman's touchdown reception in the first quarter was his 10th career scoring catch of 20 yards or more.
* Oklahoma State surrendered 14 points in the first quarter for the first time since allowing 14 at Oklahoma on Nov. 26, 2005, a span of 13 games.
* With his five yard scoring run, senior Dantrell Savage has now scored a touchdown in his last five games and seven of his last eight.
* Zac Robinson's pass to Bobby Reid with less than four minutes to play in the first half was Reid's first career reception.
* Dez Bryant made his first career reception, a seven yarder, with 6:08 remaining in the third quarter.
* Tight end Brandon Pettigrew made a career-high seven receptions tonight for a career-high 85 yards. His 31 yard catch matches his career long.
