Odenyo Named To Soccer America's Team Of The Week

STILLWATER, Okla. — Oklahoma State senior Yolanda Odenyo has been named to the Soccer America Women's Team of the Week for games played Sept. 10-16, it was announced today.
Odenyo was named to the all-tournament team at last weekend's Inn At Saint Mary's Classic after she helped lead the Cowgirls to a 2-1 upset of No. 9 Notre Dame on Sunday, a win that snapped the Fighting Irish's 43-game home unbeaten streak.
In the win over UND, Odenyo shifted from her usual midfielder spot to a role to as a defender in the center-back and helped hold the Irish to just one goal. Highlighting Odenyo's play was a defensive save off the endline in the 65th minute.
Odenyo and the Cowgirls return to action Friday when they host Colorado College at the Cowgirl Soccer Complex at 7 p.m.
