Postgame Notes vs. Troy
Friday, Sept. 14, 2007
* Sophomore quarterback Zac Robinson made his first-career start tonight vs. Troy.
* Perrish Cox's interception at the 11:28 mark of the first quarter was his third-career INT.
* Running back Julius Crosslin's two-yard carry in the first quarter was his first of the year.
* Dez Bryant's 27-yard reception in the first quarter was the longest of his career.
* Jason Ricks' 20-yard field goal with 7:35 remaining in the first period was OSU's first FG attempt of the season.
* Leodis McKelvin's 74-yard punt return for a touchdown was the first by an OSU opponent since last year's Independence Bowl, when Javier Arenas returned an 86 yarder for a score.
* Brandon Pettigrew's four-yard TD reception with 8:43 remaining in the first half is his first of the season and the sixth of his career. It was also Robinson's seventh TD pass of his career.
* Sophomore linebacker Chris Collins finished with a game-high 13 tackles, the most by a Cowboy this season.
* Quinton Moore's blocked punt in the fourth quarter is the first by a Cowboy since Chris Collins blocked a Missouri State punt on Sept. 2, 2006.
* With two touchdowns against Troy, Julius Crosslin moved up to 19th place on the career scoring list with 110 points. He surpassed Shawn Jones, Robert Turner, Dick Graham, Duane Wood and Ernest Anderson.
* Freshman Kendall Hunter rushed for 125 yards, the first 100-yard rushing game by a Cowboy since Dantrell Savage had 112 in the Independence Bowl last season. It was just the second time a Poke frosh has run for 100 yards in a game since 2002, when Vernand Morency had 108 against Louisiana Tech. Keith Toston had 109 at Kansas State last year.
