Cowboy Golfers Open Fall Slate At Inverness Intercollegiate

Oklahoma State's men's golf team will begin the 2007-08 season this week at the Inverness Intercollegiate being held at the Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio.
The Cowboys, who enter the season ranked No. 10 in the Golfweek preseason rankings, and the rest of the 16-team field will begin play at 8 a.m. on Monday with the first of two rounds on the day. Tuesday's final round is set to begin at 8 a.m. at the par-71, 7,255-yard layout.
Third-year head coach Mike McGraw will compete with a lineup that includes two returning lettermen as junior Trent Leon and sophomore Chris Ward will be joined by a trio of newcomers. Jon McLean, a junior transfer from TCU, and freshmen Mark Johnson and Kevin Tway will all be making their OSU debuts.
The Cowboys finished the 2006-07 season ranked fifth after putting together a campaign that saw them post three victories, including the school's 50th conference title.
