Junior College: His play as a sophomore gained him several national honors after he recorded 10 interceptions and two blocked field goals ... Returned two of his interceptions for touchdowns ... Had four interceptions in a win over Ranger, including one for a touchdown ... Named a first-team All-American by both the NJCAA and J.C. Gridwire Magazine ... First-team all-conference and was twice named NJCAA national defensive player of the week.
Personal: Born Feb. 16, 1986 ... Son of Luther and Inez Broughton ... Has three older brothers: Luther, Reggie, and Marcus; and two older sisters, Arnette and Felelicia .... His brother Luther played at Furman before going on to six years of NFL service ... Has a 38-inch vertical leap ... An education major.
