Georgia Road Rally
The OSU Athletic Department will be hosting a Road Rally for the football team as they arrive at Samford Stadium in Athens, Georgia. The Road Rally will be held at the east end of the stadium (see stadium map) at approximately 4.40 PM EST, 2 hours prior to kickoff. The OSU Spirit Band will be in attendance as well as members of the spirit squad. All fans are encouraged to join us as we welcome the OSU Cowboy football team and coaches. We will line up on the sidewalk and designated areas outside the stadium and form a tunnel for the team to walk through. Go Pokes!
The “Official OSU Party Headquarters” is at The Village Idiot. Come and meet other OSU fans at noon, catch some of the early games, and then head over to the Road Rally. The bar is at in Athens, about a 15-minute walk from the stadium. Owner Mike Usry is excited about hosting OSU fans at the Village Idiot. There will not be a formal program, but this is a great opportunity to get together with your friends before the game.
The OSU Alumni Association will be hosting a pre-game celebration Friday, August 31, at "" near Lenox Square in Buckhead from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Hors d'oeurves will be provided and a cash bar will be available. Email Carmen Dale at or call (800) 433-4678 to RSVP.
