High School: Grimes graduated from Bishop Lynch High School in Dallas, Texas... During his four years, Bishop Lynch won the TAPPS 6A Division I state championship twice ... Bishop Lynch also advanced to the state semifinal game twice after winning both the district and regional titles all four years during his career ... Grimes was a first-team all-state and first-team all-district selection as a senior ... He was also voted Outstanding Offensive Lineman.
