The scrimmage will be the third for the Cowboys in eight days. The first scrimmage of the fall was last Saturday, followed by Wednesday's scrimmage. OSU's fall semester begins on Monday which means the August camp will basically end on Sunday with another workout. OSU will not practice on the first day of class.
“I thought the defense progressed from Saturday to Wednesday's scrimmage,” Gundy said when assessing the 2007 squad. “”We have more playmakers on offense. We have playmakers on defense but they are inexperienced.”
Currently five Cowboy defenders have earned the coveted black practice jersey, the reward for standout play. The black shirted defenders include defensive ends Nate Peterson and Marque Fountain, linebacker Donovan Woods, cornerback Jacob Lacey and safety Ricky Price.
