Cowboys Complete Wednesday Workout With Scrimmage

Following a brief break from the practice field of about 27 hours, the
“We had a good practice today,” head coach Mike Gundy said. “We had probably an 80- or 90-play scrimmage at the end of the practice with a lot of special teams work. It was good. It was hot and the guys got some conditioning.
“We had fewer mistakes  a couple of procedures,” he added when comparing the first two scrimmages of fall camp. “We had a couple of big plays on offense and a couple of big plays on defense. It was balanced today. I thought both sides played well. WeÂre looking more for effort right now -- chasing the ball and down-field blocking.”
While the second scrimmage of the fall was another step in camp, the Cowboys boss said he and his staff will hold off on major decisions regarding the Cowboy roster.
“We have so many twos competing for jobs and so many young guys competing,” he said, “we need another four or five days before we make any decisions.”
