Bowman Selected To All-America Team

Oklahoma State senior wide receiver Adarius Bowman is one of just two Big 12 players named to the preseason All-America first team as selected by ESPN.com writer Ivan Maisel.

Bowman, the reigning Big 12 offensive newcomer of the year and a first-team all-Big 12 selection last season, joins Texas A&M tight end Martellus Bennett as the only Big 12 members of the team.

Bowman was also named a preseason All-America receiver by Phil Steele and he was chosen as the Big 12 Conference's top NFL prospect by The Sporting News.

Bowman caught 60 passes for 1,181 yards last season for an average of 19.7 yards per catch. He had 12 touchdown receptions, including scoring plays covering 75, 69, 64, 55, 54 and 45 yards. Against Kansas, he recorded the 11^th best receiving game in NCAA history with 13 catches for 300 yards and four touchdowns. He was named as the Walter Camp national player of the week for his efforts against the Jayhawks.

Bowman and Oklahoma State open the season on Sept. 1 when they travel to Georgia to face the No. 13 Bulldogs in a game that will be televised by ESPN2.
